Here is the beginning of my ongoing fashion design project that has erm...been unfinished for almost three months. I already started the actual creation in June and carried it all around Switzerland with me, but there's just a little more to add. Please ignore my idiotic references for how many inches everything is. On the waist band, repeatedly it says the main things of Moulin Rouge over and over: Freedom, Beauty, Truth and (of course) Love. The leg corset is 4" long and black velvet, with bronze grommets and and black shoelace to pull it together on the front. The bottom half has 11" inserts of a rich red material, with bronze grommets and thin black string/rope for lacing it up. The bottom 2.5" ribbin with the Bohemian ideas (freedom, beauty, truth and love) and the 23" ruffles were never added to the actual project. The remaining material on the front was covered with black Sharpie-fied quotes and lyrics from the movie and the back is about two-thirds finished at this time.
First off, everyone here at deviantART would like to say THANK YOU!!! We have received an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm for the launch of version 6 and believe that this has been our best-received launch to date.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
